The objective of this program is to form a medical science community, which
with the disciplines of (1) stem cell biology and regenerative medicine
and (2) immunology, autoimmune disease, and infectious disease research
on animal models as its two major categories, while ensuring logicality
and safety based on the results obtained by basic medical research, utilizes
the elucidation of the pathology of intractable diseases and unique disease
model systems as essential means, and with both basic and clinical working
in concert, will develop new methods of treatment.
An additional objective is to set up an education system and center to continuously
foster and produce the next generation of excellent medical investigators.
